NTN Products Rolling Bearings
Deep groove Ball Bearings
The most typical type of bearing. Deep groove ball bearings can sustain radial load and axial load in both directions. Because of less friction torque, noise and vibration, these are suitable for high speed applications.
Angular Contact Ball Bearings
For the contact angle, these are capable of a radial load and a large axial load in one direction at the same time. With using several of them together, these can keep appropriate preload and be used as support bearings of ball screw and rotating main shaft.
Polylube Bearings
Polylube Bearings enclose “Solid grease”, which is a lubricant mainly containing lubricating grease and resin. There are two types: the spot-pack type in which solid grease is injected into several points of the retainer, and the full-pack type in which all space around the rolling elements is filled with solid grease.
Cylindrical Roller Bearings
There are several types of cylindrical roller bearings besides the standard type. Type E of identical size to standard ones has a high load capacity. Type HT has a large axial load capacity. Type HL provides extended wear life under the conditions where the development of a lubricating film inside the bearing is difficult. There are some types based on the number of row, such as double row type, four row type and so on. For extremely heavy load applications, Type SL of the non-separable full roller is available.
Tapered Roller Bearings
Tapered Roller Bearings are designed so raceway surface of the inner and outer rings and the apex of the tapered rollers intersect at one point on the bearing centerline. For this feature, the rollers are guided along the raceway surface by being pushed against the inner rib by the synthetic force received from the inner and outer raceway surfaces.
Self-Aligning Roller Bearings
Self-Aligning Roller bearings have the inner ring with double-row track groove, the outer ring with spherical surface and the rolling element of barrel-shaped. The center of the outer ring track surface matches the center of the bearing. Because the bearing is able to align itself, it can be used even when having a finishing unevenness or an inclination of inner and outer ring caused by shaft deflection.
Thrust Bearings
These bearings are designed primarily to support axial loads at contact angles between 30° and 90°. There are thrust ball bearings using balls and thrust roller bearings using rollers.
Needle Bearings
The rolling element of Needle Bearing is cylindrical and its cross-section height is slight. Compared with other types, the Needle Bearings have a significant load-bearing capacity and rigidity for their space. The inertial forces acting on them is limited. Needle Bearings have various types, such as Radial Bearings, Thrust Bearings, Cam Follower, Roller Follower and One-Way Clutch.
